Villa World

It’s my world, it’s your world… It’s Villa World!

Reserves Fall Short

Despite Dominick Hofbauer opening the scoring on 38 minutes, Spurs won 2-1 thanks to two penalties on 41 and 59 minutes.

Nathan Delfounso had a goal ruled out for offside half-way through the first half, and Elliot Parish actually saved the second penalty only for the ref to decide it needed to be taken again.

While there is no guarantee, it is still extremely likely that we will win this title, and it may happen in the next game, which is at home to Fulham on April 20th.

The best news of all is that Wilfred Bouma started and played 84 minutes. I for one can’t wait to see him back in a Villa shirt, although I would imagine he may not be back to his best until next season.

I am not available for updating tomorrow but will be back on Wednesday. If this site grows and gets big enough, I will add at least more writer so we can keep it updated on a constant basis.

Don’t forget, you can always subscribe, too.

Big Night For The Reserves

If they win tonight, they win the league. It is likely they will win it anyway, but obviously it would be great to do it this evening. They are away to Spurs, and the game is to be played at Brisbane Road, the home of Leyton Orient.

Wilfred Bouma plays tonight, as does Nicky Shorey and Nathan Delfounso. Hopefully Bouma will be signing off from reserve duty tonight by helping them to win the league. Of course, he may play a couple more games yet but I think he will be back in the team against either Manchester United or Everton.

Villa: Elliott Parish, Eric Lichaj, Wilfred Bouma, Jonathan Hogg, Matthew Roome, Nathan Baker, Andreas Weimann, Nicky Shorey, James Collins, Nathan Delfouneso, Dominik Hofbauer.

Subs: Harry Forrester, David Bevan, William Grocott, Richard Blythe, Andreas Stieber.
